Here are some writing and poetry related microcast episodes I’ve done, so far.
I’m aiming to record more poetry readings.
Once I have enough, I’ll move them over to their own show notes post :)

Episode #34 Notes: Dragon Poetry Update (old and new) / 21 March 2025
- Planning on making some recordings where I narrate my older poems.
- Exciting to revisit some of them, because I wrote most of them when I was a young teenager.
- Some of them I don’t quite like very much anymore, but I’ve still kept them online because it was part of the writing I was doing at the time. There are a few others which I think were pretty good conceptually, if I may say so.
- New ones are likely going to be set in a more modern setting or context.
- I like high fantasy poems, but I don’t like reading too many poems about dragon slayers and such because I prefer if the dragon stays alive.
- New ones explore jealousy, inner strength, a winter poem involving a dragon and its ice cavern, and one that compares anger to fire.
- Most of these poems are not in a polished state just yet, but I’m open to sharing works in progress just for the accountability and to keep the momentum going.
- Learn More: My dragon poetry book
Episode #32 Notes: Poetry Reading (“Make Way for More”) / 16 March 2025
- Wrote this eco-poem in 2023.
- Recorded a reading of it that year and sent it to The Coalition.
- Just realized the I never shared it on this microcast.
- Reflects my feelings on something I felt very strongly about while living in Florida.
- Read the poem: Make Way for More
Episode #30 Notes: New Year, Dragonsinn, and poetry / 3 Jan 2025
- Oops, haven’t posted or recorded anything in several months.
- Had some interesting events in the past few months, which I’ve shared on Dragonsinn:
- Artwork appearing in German Dragon Museum
- One of my dragon poems was shared at an artist’s opening event, for her baby dragon sculpture (Marin Murakoshi)
- Did a lot of thinking over the holidays. I kind of miss writing poetry and have been writing to do more dragon poems for a very long time, so I’m going to try and make some progress on that this year.
- I did spend some time cleaning up the Dragonsinn website. With AI search results being a thing, I feel like going back to my roots with the website, which was very focused on personal research, books, and artwork.
- May also slightly shift focus of this microcast (spend more time on creative project updates, to stay motivated to complete them).
- I got tired and frustrated forcing myself to finish some stories in terms of word count. Sometimes I like the brevity of poetry better.
Episode #22 Notes: Quitting a Creative Project / 27 March 2024
- This was a narrated blog post.
Episode #19 Notes: 2023 Writing Recap / 21 Feb 2024
- I was in a bit of a rush, so I narrated one of my recent blog posts (instead of speaking without a script, like a voice note).
Episode #10 Notes: Poetry Reading (“I Should’ve Known” / 3 Oct 2023
- I narrate my crime-themed poem: I Should’ve Known, published at The Five-Two.
Episode #8 Notes: Tongue Twisters / 30 Sept 2023
- One of my short and early recordings to accompany my profile on PW.org.
- Appreciate the literary journals and small presses that have published my material in the past several years.
- Recently got my debut poetry chapbook published by Bottlecap Press.
- Was recently traveling, gonna see to the marketing stuff asap.
- Trying to be more intentional with creative projects. Would like to focus on some short story collections.
- Been doing more reviews as well.
- Would like to continue micro casting. It’s like an unpolished version of a podcast. Each episode is 1-5 minutes long.
- I used to work for a podcast company. It can be very labour-intensive to polish and edit a full-length podcast episode.
- My main motivation for micro casting is to slowly overcome my occasional speech anxiety. This is something that has been bothering me for some time, especially if I have to speak up at work or for a presentation.
- Follow my ups and downs with improving my verbal communication skills here.
