Microcast Day 3 – Pause (stuffy nose, etc.) and Mermaid Poem

mermaid poem

Script:

Hello everyone, this is kind of coincidental, but I had an increasingly intense scratchy throat after lunch yesterday and it was not great by night time, yikes.

Now I have a stuffy nose and the whole works 😅

I’ve decided to press pause on this 30-day microcast challenge while I rest and recover, as I’d rather not over-exert myself.

I did say it was a “flexible” weekday challenge…

I enjoyed a pack of Zarbee’s “honey with vitamin c” lozenges when I visited the UK earlier this year, and I brought an unopened packet back home. So I’m enjoying the taste of it during these few days.

I’m thinking of this as a ceremonial pause while I see to some other things like ongoing light decluttering of my living space.

As for my ongoing YouTube 30-day challenge (where I was aiming to upload something daily for around 4 weeks, just for momentum as I’d never recorded or posted videos much in the past), I’m about two weeks into that.

I’ll probably finish that one before resuming this microcast challenge, possibly early next year, which might be an interesting way to usher in the new year.

I started this microcast back in 2023 to try and improve my impromptu speaking skills, and along the way I started talking more about my various creative hobbies, which wasn’t and still isn’t something I verbally chat about frequently either. So it’s an interesting experimental outlet in that sense.

For now I’ll leave you with a mermaid poem I narrated on YouTube not too long ago.

Take care and stay healthy and hydrated, and I’ll see you when I circle back to resume Day 4 of this microcast challenge 🍵

P.S. Thanks to Red String Lit for featuring this poem back in April 2024.
