Today I’m talking about my rune sets: something I’ve slowly grown into over the years.
I bought my first set several years ago on eBay.
It had a silver Viking compass design on the lid and came in a sleek black box.

The runes themselves were made of what I think was faux wood, very ceremonial‑looking, and they came in a black velvet pouch. But for some reason, I took forever to actually explore them. Something about the set just didn’t feel quite right for me at the time.
Last year, after my sister mentioned her rune stones a few times (the ones she misplaced during her move and still can’t find), I started browsing online again. I found myself drawn to stone‑style runes, especially dark blue or green ones with natural color variation.
Eventually I landed on a set of kambaba green rune stones from Madagascar, from a Florida-based online shop called Phoenix Orion Gifts.
They were $14.95, so I decided to try them.
They arrived within a few days, and I loved that they came with a pocket card explaining the symbols.

That card helped so much, as it made the whole process feel less overwhelming, which ties back to my Day 12 episode about micro‑learning.
After that, I started using the black wood pieces more often too.
They feel a bit more ‘weaponry’ visually, with sharper edges compared to the smooth stone surface of the kambaba set.
I don’t really use either set for divination right now. They’re more like visual creative tools alongside my other tiny, interesting items like iridescent mermaid or dragon‑scale charms.
That’s today’s reflection: two rune sets, two different energies, and both part of my little creative ecosystem.
