🏰 3 books on castles / history 📚

Script Notes

Hello everyone,

I’ve made a bit of a progress on a couple of vacation related blog posts. I decided to split them up into at least two separate posts so that it’s laid out in a more organized manner.

I think the post on my personal blog is going to end up with more photographs because the other one, which I’m going to post on Dragonsinn.net, has naturally a little bit more emphasis on a few dragon items that I saw while traveling.

Another shorter post that I thought of publishing was about three used books that I recently bought and they’re all history related.

They’re titled (scroll all the way down to view the book covers):

  1. “A Pocket Guide to Irish Castles” by Fiona Biggs
  2. Scotland’s History” by Fiona Watson (coincidentally, it was another author with the name of Fiona)
  3. “Castles of Scotland, Past and Present” by Christine Gambaro

In the past, I don’t think I’ve mentioned before that I’ve really liked medieval history and castles. I did have an occasional goal or dream to do a medieval castle tour.
I might still do that in a few years’ time.

On this recent trip, I got to see three castles and one was a castle ruin.

When I was younger, I played quite a lot of Tomb Raider (!!), and I’d say that Lara Croft is my favorite video game character. If I could have her life, I would have absolutely no complaints about it.

I guess visiting places like castle ruins really satisfies the exploratory feel that I have when it comes to travel.

It’s getting a bit late over here, so I’m getting a bit tired. But I will share more photos in a little bit. I just have to get some work with stuff out of the way first.
So I’ll update here very soon!
